The HTC WildFire S is the excitedly awaited upgrade to HTC’s low priced Android smart phone, the HTC Wildfire. It is a brilliant smart phone from HTC packed with features all in a small sleek metallic body,it comes with a upgraded 3.2in touchscreen, a 5 mp camera with a built in flash and brilliant autofocus, the latest version of Googles Android OS and access to the Android Marketplace.

HTC WildFire S review outlines the many upgrades from the original HTC WildFire smart phone, at the top of the upgrades list is that it now features a 3.2inch touchscreen display, This is a smart phone that come with an upgraded resolution from a mere 320×240 pixels to the crisper 480×320. Images look much sharper on the higher-resolution screen.
Yet again, the smart phone runs the latest and greatest Android OS, Gingerbread Version 2.3. Android is a very powerful OS and provides you with plenty of options. You will have at your disposal multiple customisable home screens. The phone comes pre-installed with Google Maps and Google Mail, you will also benefit from access to thousands upon thousands of applications at the ever growing Android Market.
HTC has installed a unique and impressive interface – HTC Sense. This includes handy features like Friend Stream, which is social networking mega hub that pulls updates your friends Facebook and Twitter all into one app. making it easier for you to stay connected.
For the HTC Wildfire s review we found this smart phone performs the more basic smart phone capabilities well. The Android os is a stable and user friendly, and the sound when making calls is of expected quality. clarity does dip slightly on calls made when there’s a lot of background noise, whoever it’s no worse than the other phones on the market. And the device handled background noise exceptionally well on incoming calls.
5 Mp camera
This HTC smart phone features a 5Mp autofocus camera having an LED flash. Image quality is Good, and is an improvement from the original smart phone. The phone is sold with some useful camera features for instance face detection and also geo-tagging (where it records your location in the world when taking photos using your phone’s GPS) and you may save your images on either the small 125MB internal memory space, or the supplied 2GB microSD card.
The video camera can record inside VGA resolution (640×480 pixels). This surpasses the camera we saw inside the original smart phone but remains more basic as compared to those in top-of-the-range cell phones.
Media player
The Media player is straightforward to operate with a simple to operate menu. The phone now comes with a FM radio. Which includes plenty of customisable presets. It is possible to use the on-board speaker, however you are required to have the headphones connected as they act as an antenna.
The smart phone is able to play3G2, 3GP, WMV and MP4 video files, with audio support for MP3, WAV, AAC, AMR, MOD, M4A, OGG, and WMA audio files.
While completing our HTC Wildfire S Review we found the sound quality from the on-board speaker to be impressive, as always with smart phone’s on-board speaker it lacks bass, yet is still sharp enough. The headphones supplied with the WildFire s are simple in-ear style, with one button to control – Play and pause – on the cable. They definitely do their job well.
Internet
The internet browser works well while the touchscreen helps make navigation much easier, especially the included pinch-to-zoom feature and the useful back button.
Pages load quickly as a result of the HSDPA (roughly 3.5G) connection, and the phone can also use its built in wi-fi capability to connect to a nearby hotspot we discovered during testing for this HTC Wildfire S review.
While testing the smart phone for the HTC Wildfire S review we also found Web browsing is surprisingly very good, taking into consideration the reasonably low-spec processor of 600Mhz. Scrolling while waiting for the pages to load can be a little slow, but once your page has loaded you will be able to pinch-zoom your way to endless amounts of information on the world wide web.
